Wednesday morning, March 4. How many deer can you spot in these first two photos? There were a lot of them strung out along the springs this morning.

Later, as i sat inside working, something caught my eye outside the angled window at the point, or nose, of the house. It was some of the deer that were down by the springs, but now they were parading right in front of the house.

As you can see, most of the snow is gone. But winter certainly is not over. It will be a few weeks yet before these deer will enjoy the tender green grass of spring.
