The 133rd anniversary of the Battle of the Little Big Horn fell during the third of the four summer workshops on Approaches to Teaching Lakota Culture, sponsored in part by the South Dakota Humanities Council and the Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies [CAIRNS]. This workshop examined the history and philosophy of artistic expression in Lakota culture, focusing on its ceremonial and educational roles, both in the past and in today’s world. Lori, Don, Lynn, Alaina, Peri, and Kiri are patiently waiting for Mom and Morandi to serve supper.

Martin presented on Tuesday, and Peri was here on Thursday.
