The cabin roofs were shingled this week. The overhang is exposed cedar T & G with exposed rafter tails. We used J-channel for a drip edge; it was screwed on because even the shortest roofing nails would have protruded through the boards and been visible from beneath.

The roof slope is shallow, so we installed ice and snow shield instead of felt paper. Then we shingled up to and underneath the fascia of the roof connecting the house and bathhouse.

Cheryl, Lydia and Mike were guests this week. They really did a lot of work–plus we celebrated Mike’s birthday.
