Wednesday late afternoon i walked along the springs, listening to the frogs, red-winged blackbirds, meadowlarks, ducks, a couple of geese, and a few other unidentified sounds that could have been insects or birds. Saw a number of turtles in the ponds, a few broken turtle shells in the grass, some turkey tracks in the mud of a trail, red tailed hawks soaring above, and perhaps the final patch of snow here at Wingsprings. The grass is greening so fast. Spring has certainly sprung.
