Three years ago this week we were setting fence posts to establish the boundary of the Wingsprings reserve. The 64-acre reserve encompasses a nearly half-mile long series of natural springs, along with the Wingsprings facilities and wicoti. The reserve is an on-going experiment, a field laboratory in which the plants and waterway are not disturbed by domesticated animals.
