Tuesday 38 students and faculty from South Dakota State University’s Consumer Sciences department arrived after lunch and stayed until just before sundown. Angie, one of the instructors, is sharing woyaksape in the hocoka. Earlier in the afternoon, Abe took the group to an allotment stake. Then Corey and Beau grilled burgers and hot dogs for supper. Mom was here to help out too. This is the fourth year that Angie and Susan have stopped at Wingsprings with their students. And Bill, their bus driver, has brought them here safely every time.
