Here’s a picture from the archives: February 14, 2008. Eight years ago! Emile and i burned slash piles that evening since the conditions were favorable. The temperature was chilly but not bitterly cold. There was snow on the ground so the chance of the burning starting an unintended fire were minimal. There was nary a hint of a breeze. We didn’t have any other plans.
