Oko Wikemna Nunpa ake Napcinyunka

This walkingstick insect was clinging absolutely still to one of the upright jambs of the porch, but the late afternoon sun reflected off of her/him and caught my eye. According to the internet, these are amazing creatures. Depending on species, they live from a few months to a few years. Typically they are nocturnal, but the young will forage during the day, so perhaps this one is a youth?
