This week Dan and i started building the forms for the gallery’s curved concrete walls. These will be retaining walls. The one above is on the hocoka side of the entry. The gallery’s entry door will be immediately to the left of the foreground form, atop the concrete threshold that is in the shadow at the bottom of the picture. The centerline arc of this curved wall is 48’-0”. Dan is standing on the gallery’s finish floor. Between him and the entry threshold will be the narrow curved entry, and along its left/north side, a narrow curved mechanical/storage room, both of which will probably have a joisted floor system.
