Monday, Jan 11 to Sunday, Jan 17, 2021: high 55, low 18, gust 84 mph, moisture 0.01"

This afternoon the weather was so nice: sunny and just a slight breeze. Earlier this week the wind blew hard for two days and two nights, with gusts topping 84 mph! One of this afternoon's tasks was to cut scrap boards to a length that fits into the sauna heater. The battery-powered Mikita “baby saw” (as Kent calls it) on top of the black bin works good for this, but the hand-powered axe in the background is needed to split larger pieces like tree trunks and limbs. Last year the sauna was used over 70 times; this afternoon’s sauna was the fourth of 2021.
