A little after 7 o'clock Sunday morning, just before the sun clears the east ridge. It was 19 days since the winter solstice. The rising sun is now on its trek north. Though it probably is not exactly in alignment, the rising sun on the winter solstice apparently would have been almost on axis with a line drawn from the center of the fire pit through the centerline of the open bay adjacent to the end wall of the bathhouse.
