Sunrise Wednesday at 6:36. Tuesday morning was when the sun rose directly on the Wingsprings west-east axis, bu it was cloudy so could not take a picture. The axis runs from the Butte (over a mile and a half behind the camera) through the firepit in the bottom foreground and then through the middle of the bay adjacent to the gallery’s south end wall. By decree, the Wingsprings year begins February 28, which should also be the day the sun rises on the axis. Therefore today, the first of March, is the second day of this twentieth wingsprings year.
