The serviceberry tree in the hochoka sure is blooming this week! Soon after Mom and i planted it, its trunk began bending toward the southeast. A year ago this month i saw a YouTube video on how to straighten small tree trunks, so i built the apparatus. Sometime in the next month of two we will probably untie the trunk and see if it will keep its straightened form.
