Tuesday morning after installing the slats for the bookshelf and the top trim boards. This project is nearly completed. Since the Oko 27 picture, i replaced the vinyl counter top tiles, put up the three courses of Douglas fir tongue & groove boards, the oak trim boards against the counter top, and the handles on the cabinet doors and drawers. The stacked cabinet doors on the right conceal a pull-out trash can. On the slat bookshelf will be Mom’s and my cookbooks. And there will be a short patterned cloth curtain from the bookshelf to the line between the first and second rows of tiles that will conceal the mixer, coffee maker, and toaster.
