Thursday morning at 7:15 Pine Ridge Time, yesterday’s full moon appeared to be on the Wingsprings west-east axis, about four full month heights above the Butte. To the right of the far end of the roof ridge, you can see the vertical shadow of the cockplit on the slope across the springs. On the 28th of this month, plus or minus a day, that shadow will be directly on the Wingsprings west-east axis at sunrise. In other words, at this time in two weeks, that shadow will “move” about that far to the south. And that will mark a Wingsprings Sunrise Day and the beginning of the next Wingsprings year.
