After more than a week away, it was nice to return to Wingsprings just after sunset Saturday to see the beautiful colors, the cockpit roof, the crescent moon, and Venus. Friday was the wetu (spring) Wingsprings sunrise day when the sun rises on the Wingsprings west-east axis causing the cockpit to cast a shadow, onto the slope across from the springs, pointing to Bear In The Lodge Butte. That sunrise day annually marks the beginning of the Wingsprings year. So we are now into the twenty-second year of this experiment.
