Wednesday evening double rainbow following a hot day. From 2:10 to 5:25 this afternoon the temp held steady at 99 degrees. An hour and a half later, at 6:55, the temp had dropped to 88 degrees and the wind was 6 mph from the west, having been from the south just five minutes earlier. Ten minutes later, at 7:05, the wind speed dramatically increased to 49 mph gusts from the north and the temp had fallen eleven more degrees to 77. Then at 7:25 the plummeting thermometer bottomed out at 63 degrees and the rain, which began at 7:15 was pouring down at a rate of 1.39-inches per hour. The picture above was taken at 7:43. It was sprinkling lightly and the rain would stop at 7:55 after an accumulation of 0.35 inches. What an evening!
